Brazil and Canada Claim Gold in Team Fencing

In the female's team épée, the South American country won the final, while the Canadians did the same in the male's team sabre.

Saturday 4th November 2023.- The fencing events at the Santiago 2023 Pan American Games have concluded, taking place at the Centro de Deportes Paralímpicos of the Estadio Nacional.

The first final of this Saturday took place between Brazil and Canada. Both teams competed for the gold in female's team épée, with the South American squad prevailing 45-40. In the same event, Venezuela secured the bronze by defeating Mexico 45-42.

Next, it was time for the men's team sabre final, with a victory for the Canadian team, who defeated the United States 45-38. Venezuela also secured the bronze in this event by defeating Colombia 45-39 in the third-place match.

The United States performed exceptionally well in fencing, earning a total of 11 medals, including eight gold and three bronze.
