The United States and Canada Win Gold in Breaking, Secure Spot in Paris 2024

In the B-Girls category, the gold medal went to Sunny, while in the B-Boys category, the top performer was Phil Wizard.

Saturday 4th November 2023.- One of the new sports that has come to stay is breaking, which made its debut at the Santiago 2023 Pan American Games and will be part of the lineup at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

The discipline is judged by nine judges who select the winner and evaluate the following criteria: creativity, personality, technique, variety, performance, and music.

In the B-Girls category, the gold medal went to the United States, as Sunny comfortably defeated the Colombian Luma by 3-0. The bronze, on the other hand, was awarded to another American dancer, La Vix, who defeated the Canadian Tiff by 3-0.

Then came the final for the B-Boys. At Parque Peñalolén, the champion was the Canadian Phil Wizard, who defeated the American Jefrro by 3-0.

One of the surprises of the evening was delivered by the Chilean Matita, who claimed the bronze after defeating the American Gravity by 2-1.

In this way, Sunny and Phil Wizard qualified for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, thanks to their gold medals at Santiago 2023.
