Chile Takes Bronze in Female's Field Hockey

The “Diablas” defeated Canada and added their second medal in the history of the Pan American Games.

Saturday 4th November 2023.- Chile secured the bronze medal in female's field hockey after defeating Canada 2-0 at the Centro Deportivo de Hockey Césped at the Estadio Nacional.

The “Diablas” won their second Pan American Games bronze medal, following their achievement in Guadalajara 2011, where they also defeated the Canadians.

Denise Rojas Losada was the author of both goals for Chile, as she didn't miss from the short corner, securing another victory for the “Diablas” against the Canadians, whom they had already beaten with the same score in the group stage.

The first goal was scored in the opening quarter, while the second and decisive goal came in the final period, allowing Chile to close a highly contested match.

This marks another bronze medal for Team Chile at the current Pan American Games, and the second one for local hockey, following the silver medal earned by the male's team on Friday.
