Saturday 4th November 2023.- As the Santiago 2023 Pan American Games slowly come to an end, the final gold medals are being awarded, but one thing remains constant: having the United States at the top of the medal standings.

The North American giant celebrated once again on Saturday by securing another gold in softball, a Pan-American discipline hosted at the Parque Cerrillos diamond.

The American team, the current world champions, confirmed their credentials by defeating Puerto Rico in the final with a clear 7-0 victory.

The standout player of the day was Amanda Lorenz, who contributed three runs, paving the way for her country's triumph.

As a result, the podium was led by the United States with their gold medal, followed by Puerto Rico (silver) and Canada (bronze), which defeated Mexico 7-0 in the battle for the third place.
