Saturday, November 4th, 2023.- The Dominican Republic defeated Mexico 3-1 to secure fifth place in male's Pan American volleyball, after an epic first set that they ended up losing 33-31.

It seemed like the Aztecs would easily take the second set, building a solid lead, but towards the end of that set, the Dominican team mounted a comeback that surprised their opponents, closing the set at 25-22, making it 1-1.

Afterward, it was all in favor of the Caribbeans, who managed their emotions better during the match, remained calm against Mexican attempts, and closed the game with little difficulty, with scores of 25-18 and 25-22.
