Friday, November 3rd, 2023.- Table tennis is in its final days as a Pan American discipline at Santiago 2023 with the team competitions for both female and male.
Today, the semifinal pairings were determined after the United States defeated Cuba 3-0, Brazil overcame Canada 3-1, Puerto Rico triumphed 3-0 over Argentina, and the host nation won 3-2 against Mexico.
Therefore, on Saturday morning at the Centro de Entrenamiento Olímpico, the United States will face Brazil, and Chile will take on Puerto Rico. The winners of both matches will compete for the gold, while the losing teams will secure the bronze.
On the male's side, Brazil celebrated after a 3-0 victory over Puerto Rico, Canada won 3-0 against Ecuador, the United States triumphed 3-1 over Peru, and Argentina also won 3-1 against Cuba.
The male's teams will compete in the afternoon of this Saturday, where, similar to the female's event, the winners will vie for the gold, and the losing teams will receive the bronze medal.
