Fencing: USA and Canada to Compete for Gold in Female's Sabre

And for the bronze medal at the Pan American Games, Mexico and Argentina will contend.

Friday, November 3rd, 2023.- Team fencing will witness its fourth consecutive final between the United States and Canada.

This time, it will be in the female's sabre discipline, where the coveted gold medal of the Pan American Games will be up for grabs.

The US team, consisting of Maia Chamberlain, Magda Skarbonkiewicz, and Alexis Anglade, convincingly defeated Argentina 45-13, as they aim for their second consecutive Pan American championship in this specialty.

Their neighbors, on the other hand, had to work harder to prevail 45-38 over the Mexican team.

Thus, the Canadian team of Pamela Brind'Amour, Jayne Ponich, and Tamar Gordon will seek to reclaim the gold medal they last won at home during the Toronto 2015 Pan American Games.
