Colombia and Cuba Will Contest Gold in Female's Freestyle Wrestling

The Colombian Tatiana Rentería will face the Cuban Milaimy Marín in the grand showdown of the 76 kilograms category at Santiago 2023.

Friday, November 3rd, 2023.- The Centro de Entrenamiento Olímpico will witness this afternoon the battle between the Colombian Tatiana Rentería and the Cuban Milaimy Marín, who will determine the gold medal winner in the 76 kilograms category of female's freestyle wrestling at Santiago 2023.

The Colombian representative is the rising star of female's freestyle wrestling in her country, despite being only 22 years old.

The athlete from Valle del Cauca has qualified for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games and is the reigning champion of the Bolivian Games, Central American Games, as well as the South American Beach Games.

She will face off against the Cuban wrestler Milaimys de la Caridad Marín, who has also secured her ticket to the Paris 2024 Olympics.

The highly anticipated match is scheduled for 5:10 p.m. and is considered to be of an uncertain outcome, as it pits the two top performers in their weight category.
