Female's Water Polo: United States and Canada Competing for Gold

As expected, the United States and Canada easily won their respective female's water polo semifinal matches, and they will compete in the final tomorrow for the gold medal.

Friday, November 3rd, 2023.- Both North American teams have completely dominated not only the Pan American Games in Santiago 2023 but every edition since female's water polo made its debut in Winnipeg 1999. In every edition, they have played in the final, with Canada winning the first one as hosts and the United States securing victory in the five subsequent competitions.

This Friday, in the semifinal round, the United States defeated Argentina 27-1, while Canada beat Brazil 21-4.

On Saturday, ahead of the final between Canada and the United States, Brazil and Argentina will compete for the bronze medal. Matches for other placements will also take place: Cuba will face Mexico for fifth and sixth place, and Puerto Rico will play against Chile for seventh and eighth place.
