Friday, November 3rd, 2023.- The Brazilian national team defeated Mexico 2-0, securing fifth place in the Pan American Games field hockey competition. They were only surpassed by Argentina, Chile, the United States, and Canada.

In a closely contested match, the South American team scored twice in the second quarter, with goals from Stephane Smith, and held on for the victory until the end of the game.

At 5:30 PM local time on Friday in Santiago 2023, Canada and the United States will compete for the bronze medal, while at 7:45 p.m., Chile will vie for gold against Argentina.
