The United States Dominated the Trampoline Gymnastics Qualifiers

The North American team outperformed Brazil and Canada in the trampoline gymnastics qualifying rounds, both in the female and male’s categories.

Friday, November 3rd, 2023.- The United States claimed the top spot with a clear advantage over Brazil and Canada in the synchronized team trampoline gymnastics qualifying rounds, both in the female and male's categories, held this morning at the Centro de Deportes de Contacto at the Estadio Nacional.

In the female's category, the American duo consisting of Nicole Ahsinger and Jessica Stevens scored a total of 48.530 to take the top position, followed by Brazil with 45.980 and Canada with 44.930. Argentina finished fourth, and Mexico fifth.

"We are a new pair with Jessica in synchronized trampoline, we are making our debut, and I think we did really well based on the results and the scoreboard. We are very hopeful for delivering another good performance tomorrow," commented one of the Americans, Nicole Ahsinger, after the competition.

In the male's category, Rubén Padilla and Aliaksei Shostak claimed the first place with a score of 51.180, followed by Canada with 49.240 and Brazil with 49.140. Colombia finished fourth, followed by Argentina and Mexico.

"We did well, but we can improve. It was an early competition, and it was tough to wake up. The important thing is that it was a good test for tomorrow's finals, where we will try to achieve a better result," said the Canadian Remi Aubin.

On Saturday at 10:00 a.m., the finals for both team categories, as well as the individual competitions for both female and male, will be held starting at 5:00 p.m. in the afternoon.
