Athletics, football, field hockey stand out for Friday at the Pan American G

Santiago 2023 is entering its final days of competition, and 26 disciplines will be in action during the day.

Friday, November 3rd.- The Pan American Games are reaching their final stretch, and this Friday, November 3rd, 26 disciplines will be contested in what will be the penultimate day of competition. 

Among the most prominent sports, athletics will award eight gold medals during the afternoon session. 

In team sports, handball and basketball will determine their finalists. 

On the other hand, female's football will have a clear podium, as well as male's field hockey, where Chile will aim for the gold medal in both disciplines. 

Gymnastics will also have its award day, with rhythmic gymnastics delivering three gold medals and trampoline gymnastics finding its finalists. 

The day will mark the beginning of the karate competition, with four gold medals at stake in three categories (individual male and female kata, +68 kilograms, and -60 kilograms). 

Another sport that will also start in Santiago 2023 is rugby 7, which will be played entirely in its group stage. 

Squash will also have medal contests with the mixed doubles, female's doubles, and male's doubles finals. 

Finally, archery, table tennis, and volleyball will seek their finalists on the intense day of the 2023 Pan American Games.
