Thursday, November 2nd, 2023.- Brazil continues its winning streak in male's basketball at Santiago 2023. Today, they defeated Puerto Rico 72-69 at the Polideportivo 1 of the Estadio Nacional and advanced as the leader of Group B to the competition's semifinals.

After a first half in which the Caribbean team surprised by being ahead on the scoreboard, Brazil showed its credentials to turn the match around in the remaining two quarters.

In this comeback, Lucas Días played a key role, contributing 17 points, just like Danilo Fuzaro, who scored 15.

The Chilean team welcomes this result with optimism. Despite losing its first two games, they can still advance as the second-place team in Group B behind Brazil, provided they defeat Mexico by more than seven points starting at 8:00 p.m.

In Group A, the countries that advanced to the medal contention are Argentina and Venezuela. They will face the second-place team from Group A and Brazil, respectively, in the semifinals.
