Bárbara Domingos wins gold in rhythmic gymnastics

The Brazilian athlete claimed the first-place spot in the all-around competition. The qualification for Paris 2024 was secured by the American gymnast Evita Griskenas.

Thursday, November 2st.- An exciting day unfolded at the Centro de Deportes Colectivos del Estadio Nacional as the all-around competition in rhythmic gymnastics came to a close, crowning a new champion at Santiago 2023.

The top performer in the overall standings was Brazil's Bárbara Domingos, who accumulated a total of 129.550 points. Her scores included 32.000 in the hoop, 33.200 in the ball, 32.200 in the clubs, and 32.150 in the ribbon.

The silver medal went to American gymnast Evita Griskenas, who earned a total of 127.400 points. Her individual scores included 32.800 in the hoop, 31.950 in the ball, 31.400 in the clubs, and 31.250 in the ribbon.

Lastly, the bronze medal was claimed by another Brazilian gymnast, María Eduarda Alexandre, who scored a total of 127.250. Her performances included 33.550 in the hoop, 30.750 in the ball, 32.350 in the clubs, and 30.600 in the ribbon.

The champion, Bárbara Domingos, had already secured her spot in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, and as a result, the Pan American qualification spot was awarded to the American Evita Griskenas.
