Softball: Canada Triumphs Over Mexico at the Start of the Super Round

The Canadian team secured the victory thanks to an impressive seventh inning.

Thursday, November 2st.- The Santiago 2023 Pan American Games are entering their final stage, and one of the sports that is beginning to take shape is softball, which is being played on the diamond at Parque Cerrillos.

This Thursday marked the beginning of the Super Round, where the teams from the United States, Canada, Mexico, and Puerto Rico compete for the three medals awarded in the tournament.

The final round started with the match between the Canadian and Mexican teams, where the Canadians emerged victorious with a score of 6-1.

The game remained very close until the last inning when Canada pulled ahead, completing six innings and delivering the first blow in the battle for the medals.

The excitement of softball returns on Friday with the following matches: Puerto Rico vs. the United States at 10:00 a.m., Canada against the United States at 1:00 p.m., and Mexico vs. Puerto Rico at 4:00 p.m.
