Squash: The United States and Colombia go for gold in female's doubles

The Americans defeated the Chileans in the semi-finals, while the Colombians overcame the Barbadians.

Thursday, November 2st.- The United States continues to showcase its strength in all sports at the Santiago 2023 Pan American Games, and squash is no exception, as they are now competing for gold in female's doubles.

American athletes Olivia Fiechter and Amanda Sobhy, who dominated in singles, have advanced to the doubles final after defeating Chile's Ana María Pinto and Giselle Delgado, who had to settle for bronze medals.

The Team USA representatives had a relatively easy match at Centro Deportivo de Las Raquetas, winning in just 12 minutes with scores of 11-3 and 11-4.

In the other semi-final, the Colombian duo of Lucía Bautista and Laura Tovar emerged victorious against the Barbadian pair of Meagan Best and Margot Prow with double scores of 11-5.

The female's doubles final will take place this Friday at 6:00 p.m. at the Estadio Nacional.
