Bowling: Gold for the United States in Female's Doubles

American athletes Breanna Clemmer and Jordan Richard took first place, pushing Colombia and Mexico into second and third place, respectively. Chile secured the seventh position.

Thursday, November 2st.- The United States secured the first gold medal in the bowling competition at Santiago 2023, taking place at the Mall Plaza Vespucio facilities in the La Florida commune in the Metropolitan Region.

American players Breanna Clemmer and Jordan Richard accumulated a total of 3,274 points, winning the female's doubles category. The silver medal went to the Colombian duo Clara Guerrero and Juiana Franco, who scored 3,099 points, while the bronze medal was earned by the Mexican pair of Iliana Lomeli and Sandra Góngora with a total of 3,082 points.

Teams from Puerto Rico, Brazil, El Salvador, Chile, Venezuela, the Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, Aruba, and the Independent Athletes Team finished outside of the podium.

The Chilean duo of Verónica Valdebenito and María José Caro finished in seventh place with 2,780 points.

In the afternoon, the male's doubles event will take place, which will also award medals. Tomorrow, the individual competitions are scheduled to begin.
