Male's Basketball: Argentina narrowly defeats Dominican Republic

Thursday, November 2nd, 2023.- The first male's basketball game on Thursday at the Pan American Games at the Polideportivo in Estadio Nacional was an exciting contest. Argentina and Dominican Republic faced off in Group A, and the victory in overtime went to the Argentines with a score of 82-81 after they tied at 74 points in the four quarters.

Argentina won the first quarter 19-4 and also secured the extra period 8-7.

Dominican Republic, on the other hand, won the second, third, and final quarters with scores of 25-23, 24-15, and 21-17, respectively.

Argentina's top scorer was Javier Saiz with 19 points, while Gelvis Solano was the leading scorer for Dominican Republic with 30 points.
