Argentina advances to semifinals of male's volleyball by defeating Chile

The Argentinian team asserted their authority and defeated the Chileans in three sets to finish first in Group B

Wednesday, November 1st.- Argentina finished first in Group B of male's volleyball, ensuring their spot in the semifinals after defeating Chile 3-0 at the Arena Parque O'Higgins.

The Argentinian team won with scores of 25-15, 25-20, and 25-21. Their experience and strong play at the net allowed them to create a gap against the Chilean team.

"We are very happy; we wanted to be in the semifinals against Chile on their home, with all the fans against us, and it's great," said Mauro Zelayeta after the match.

"We appreciate the day of rest, that's what we wanted, and now we'll rest to go after the gold medal, which is what we came here for," he added.

Argentina will now have a day of rest and await their opponent in the semifinals. Chile, on the other hand, will face Colombia this Thursday at 10:30 a.m. local time.
