Wednesday, November 1st.- Drama at the Polideportivo de Viña del Mar. Brazil had a score to settle with Chile in the Pan American handball of Santiago 2023.

The South American giant had an outstanding debt with the Chilean team since the red-clad team defeated them in the semifinals of Lima 2019, and they have now settled that score in their own home.

The Brazilians secured a last-minute victory in the Valparaíso region, winning by a narrow 30-28, which allows them to lead Group B.

The standout player in Viña del Mar was the Brazilian Haniel Langaro, who scored a total of seven goals in his 11 shots on goal.

Brazil now tops the group with six points after three matches played, with Chile in the second spot with four points. Mexico follows with two points, and the Dominican Republic is yet to score.

The semi-finals are up next, where Brazil will face the United States on Saturday at 5:30 p.m., while Chile will play the classic match against Argentina on the same day, but starting at 8:00 p.m.
