Wednesday, November 1st.- When we say Brazil, we all think of football, and that was evident at the 2023 Pan American Games in Santiago, as the "Scratch" has already secured a spot in the male's final.
However, it was not an easy feat this time, as in a heart-pounding match at the Estadio Sausalito in Viña del Mar, Brazil narrowly triumphed 1-0 over Mexico.
The only goal of the match came very early, and within two minutes, the South American team was already celebrating, thanks to an own goal by Antonio Leone.
From that point on, the statistics show that the North American team had greater dominance, as evidenced by their seven attempts on goal, but they couldn't beat the resistance of the goalkeeper Mycael, who became the standout figure of the match.
Now, Brazil is on a quest for the gold medal in the sport that has brought them the most joy in their history. However, it won't be an easy task because they will face the host, Chile, next Saturday at 8:00 p.m.
Meanwhile, Mexico will aim to secure the bronze medal when they face the United States in the classic North American clash.
