Wednesday, November 1st.- Canada grew stronger at the Centro Acuático at Estadio Nacional and secured the top spot in Group B of water polo by defeating Argentina 14-7.
Both teams entered the match with six points, and the winner would claim the top spot in the group. Consequently, the first period was highly contested, with Canada leading 4-3. In the second half, they extended their lead, winning 4-1.
The remaining two periods also went in favor of Canada, 3-1 and 3-2, resulting in a final score of 14-7 in favor of Canada against Argentina, who settled for the second position.
Despite this outcome, both teams qualified for the quarter-finals in a group where Chile will aim to finish third. To do that, they will need to defeat Cuba in the match that concludes the water polo session.
