USA Prevails Over Mexico in Softball Classic, Advances to Super Round

The U.S. team advanced undefeated to the final phase of the Pan American sport

Wednesday, November 1st.- One of the sports entering the final stretch at the Santiago 2023 Pan American Games is softball, which had its last group stage matches on Wednesday.

The most anticipated match of Group A was the classic between the United States and Mexico, and it was the current medal leaderboard leader who triumphed with a convincing 7-0 victory.

The game on the diamond at Parque Cerrillos was settled early, as the Americans made a strong start in the first inning, scoring four runs that turned out to be insurmountable for the Mexican team.

The standout player of the match was Alexis Lorenz, who contributed with two runs for the winning team.

As a result, the United States advanced undefeated to the Super Round, which will determine the Pan American softball champion. Mexico, Puerto Rico, and Canada will also compete in this stage.
