Wednesday's schedule: Athletics awards five medals

Highlights include the finals of the 400 meters, female's 100m hurdles, and male's 110 meters. Five other sports will also award medals, including wrestling, which debuts today, along with sprint canoeing, rhythmic gymnastics, and archery.

Wednesday, November 1st.- 
Wednesday is set to be a day filled with sports activity at the 2023 Pan American Games. A total of 18 sports will be in action, including four making their debut at the event. Six of these sports will award medals. 


Notable events include athletics, with six finals at the National Stadium: female's hammer throw, male's and female's 400 meters, male's 110 meters hurdles, and female's 100m hurdles. 


The women's heptathlon will also begin today, and semifinals for the 400 meters hurdles and the 200 meters in both male's and female's categories will be contested. 


The sports making their debut today include sprint canoeing, rhythmic gymnastics, archery, and wrestling. Wrestling, along with equestrian jumping, fencing, squash, and table tennis, will award medals as well. 


Additionally, action will continue in male's handball and basketball, football, field hockey, Basque pelota, water polo, female's softball, sailing, and male's volleyball.
