Male's Basketball: Puerto Rico edges out Chile in a thrilling finish

The Caribbean team turned the score around in the final quarter.

Tuesday, October 31th, 2023.- A match filled with emotions was played between Puerto Rico and Chile in their debut in Group B of Pan American basketball, with victory for the Caribbean team, 70-66 over the home team.

The game started favorably for Chile, winning the first two quarters (18-14 and 24-17), but in the third period, Puerto Rico began their comeback after winning that quarter 20-15.

In the final 10 minutes, the Puerto Ricans dominated by winning the quarter by a 10-point difference (19-9), securing the victory at the Estadio Nacional's Polideportivo 1.

This is an important victory for Puerto Rico, earning their first two points. In their next game, they will face Mexico on Wednesday, November 1, starting at 5:30 p.m. local time.

Chile, on the other hand, will play on the same day, but at 8:00 p.m. against Brazil, who previously won against Mexico by a 20-point margin.
