Brazil beats Mexico and advances to the semi-finals of male's water polo

The South American team had no trouble defeating the Mexican team and will now compete to win the group against the United States.

Tuesday, October 31th, 2023.- Brazil is determined to compete for medals in male’s water polo, and they demonstrated their intentions on Tuesday in the pool at the Estadio Nacional Julio Martínez Prádanos. They comfortably secured their spot in the semi-finals of the competition being held in the Ñuñoa commune by defeating Mexico with a clear score of 21-10.

The standout player of the match was the Brazilian Gustavo de Freitas, who scored four times.

On Wednesday, the Brazilians will aim for another achievement when they face the United States, a gold medal contender, in a match scheduled for 3:00 p.m. This match will determine the leader of the group, as both teams have accumulated six points after their two games played.

Meanwhile, Mexico will compete against Puerto Rico at 6:00 p.m. local time.
