Water Polo: USA continues dominance, Argentina secures first victory

The North American female's team, which had made their debut in Santiago with a 35-0 victory over Chile, triumphed over Puerto Rico 29-0 on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Argentina defeated Mexico 8-6.

Tuesday, October 31th, 2023.- The United States reaffirmed their status as favorites to retain the Pan American gold medal in female's water polo, securing their second consecutive landslide victory today.

The North American team, who had previously defeated Chile 35-0 in their debut, replicated a similar performance on Tuesday against Puerto Rico, winning convincingly with a score of 29-0.

A commanding 8-0 in the first and second quarters, 7-0 in the third, and 6-0 in the fourth shaped the final score in the match of the second day in Group B, which will conclude with Brazil facing Chile.

In Group A, Argentina secured their first win in the tournament by narrowly defeating Mexico 8-6.

The Argentinian team had lost their first match against Canada, while the Mexican team recorded their second consecutive defeat, having previously fallen to Cuba in their opening game.

In the first game today, the Canadian team displayed their dominance by defeating Cuba 24-3.
