Chile achieved a hard-fought victory against the Dominican Republic in volleybal

The national sextet won in four sets against the Dominicans and started their participation in Group B on the right foot.

Monday, October 30th, 2023.- Chile secured a hard-fought victory in their debut in men's volleyball by defeating the Dominican Republic 3-1 at the Arena Parque O'Higgins.

The Chilean team won with set scores of 25-20, 21-25, 25-22, and 25-21 in an intense match played to a full stadium, with constant support from the Chilean fans.

Chile dominated the first set but experienced a slight dip in their performance in the second set, which the Dominicans capitalized on to win. However, in the third and fourth sets, the Chilean team outperformed their opponents, securing the victory in their debut.

With this win, Chile stands in second place in the group with three points, while Argentina leads with five points after the first round of matches.

Chile's next match will be against Puerto Rico on Tuesday, October 31st, scheduled for 8:30 p.m. local time.
