The United States starts with a dominant win in male Water Polo

The American team, the current Pan American champion, easily surpassed Mexico.

Monday, October 30th, 2023.- One of the world's water polo powerhouses is the United States, and they made it clear on Monday in their debut in the male category at the Santiago 2023 Pan American Games.

The American team, which secured third place in the 2023 World Championship held in Los Angeles, easily defeated Mexico in their first Group A match.

The North American team, who triumphed 30-2, had Ryder Dodd as the standout figure in the Estadio Nacional’s pool, scoring five times and being the most effective player in the match.

The United States shares the top spot in Group A with Brazil, both with three points, leaving Puerto Rico and Mexico behind.

The next match for the Americans, the reigning Pan-American champions, will be against Puerto Rico, in a game scheduled for Tuesday, starting at 3:00 p.m.

The water polo champion at Santiago 2023 will earn a direct ticket to the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
