Argentina crushes Cuba and starts off strong in males water polo

The South American team had a relaxed day at the Estadio Nacional's pool.

Monday, October 30, 2023.- Argentina had a highly productive debut in male's water polo at the 2023 Pan American Games in Santiago, as they secured a clear victory against their counterparts from Cuba.

The South American team started slowly, scoring only two goals in the first period, but gradually gained momentum throughout the match, ultimately winning convincingly with a score of 20-4 against the Cuban team.

The standout player at the Estadio Nacional’s pool was the Argentine Esteban Corsi, who successfully found the opposing goal on all four attempts.

Thanks to this victory, Argentina leads in Group B, which also includes Canada and the host nation, Chile.

The Argentinian team will face Chile on Tuesday, starting at 7:30 p.m. local time.

In the 2019 Pan American Games, the gold medal went to the United States, with Canada finishing second and Brazil third.
