Puerto Rico asserted its credentials over Peru in female softball

The Central American team, ranked third in the world, secured a 3-0 victory on the second day of this event at Santiago 2023.

Monday, October 30th.- The Puerto Rican female's softball team demonstrated their supremacy in this sport, defeating their Peruvian counterparts 3-0 on the second day of this event at Santiago 2023. 

The first celebration for the Central American team took place in the second inning when Alyssa Rivera opened the scoring, making it 1-0. 

The victorious team solidified their win in the sixth inning with two additional runs, also against María Pizarro. 

After an 'out,' Jena Cozza received an international walk, and then she provided Aleimalee López with the opportunity to bring Rivera home with a single to the right field, extending the lead to 2-0. 

The final touch was added by Jena Cozza, securing the definitive victory. 

Softball at these Pan American Games will continue for Puerto Rico on Tuesday when they face Cuba, while Peru will compete against Canada.
