Jorge Campos and Daniela Fonseca defeated the Chilean duo of Paulina Vega and Nicolás Burgos, earning their ticket to the Olympic Games.

Monday, October 30th.- The Cuban mixed doubles table tennis pair defeated Chile and secured the top prize: in addition to reaching the final of the Santiago 2023 Pan American Games, where they will compete for the gold medal, they also clinched their qualification for the 2024 Paris Olympics.

In an electrifying match where tension took hold of the Centro de Entrenamiento Olímpico, the Central American duo pushed their limits against the hosts, who extended the contest to the maximum of seven sets.

The semifinal favored the Cubans with scores of 11-6, 7-11, 11-13, 11-4, 11-13, 11-9, and 11-5, where the greater experience of Daniela Fonseca, ranked fifth in the world in female's doubles, shone through in crucial points.

The Chilean duo of Paulina Vega and Nicolás Burgos, who had previously become champions at the Pan American Championships held in Havana, Cuba, had to settle for the bronze medal.
