Brazil and the United States Dominate Pan American Canoe Slalom

The skill competitions have come to an end at the Rio Aconcagua.

Sunday, october 29nd, 2023.- One of the events that concluded this Sunday at the 2023 Pan American Games in Santiago was canoeing slalom, which took place on the Rio Aconcagua in Los Andes.

The country that dominated with the most podium finishes was Brazil, accumulating a total of six medals, including three gold and three silver.

The standout athlete from the Brazilian team was Ana Satila, who claimed the gold in the women's C1 and women's K1.

Another delegation that achieved excellent results on the river was the United States, with three first-place finishes and one third-place finish, featuring Zachary Lokken (C1), Joshua Joseph (K1), and Evy Leibfarth (K1) as champions.

Canoeing continues in Santiago 2023, but in its sprint format, an event scheduled to take place at the Laguna Grande in San Pedro de La Paz.
