Argentina advances to the finals of female’s handball

The Transandine team defeated Paraguay 28-18 and will compete for the Pan American gold medal this Sunday.

Saturday, october 28nd, 2023.- There were no surprises in the first semi-final of female's handball. Argentina, one of the strong teams in this discipline, had no trouble defeating Paraguay with a convincing score of 28-18, becoming the first finalist who will compete for the gold medal on Sunday.

From the beginning, the Argentine squad dominated the match and established a lead on the scoreboard. Paraguay, on the other hand, displayed determination and effort that at times managed to challenge the Argentine performance.

This resulted in the first half ending with a close score of 10-7 in favor of Argentina.

In the second half, the situation changed notably. The Albiceleste, demonstrating speed in ball movement and rotation, managed to widen the gap and secured a 28-18 victory on the overall scoreboard.

This way, Argentina advances to the final and awaits the winner of the other semi-final match between Chile and Brazil.
