Mexico Concludes the Female's Football Group Stage with a Perfect Record

The Aztec national female's football team, directed by Pedro López, secured their third consecutive victory with an impressive 4-1 win against Paraguay, putting them in contention for a medal.

Saturday, october 28nd, 2023.- The Mexican female's football team has established itself as a serious contender for the gold medal after claiming their third consecutive victory in the group stage at the Santiago 2023 Pan American Games.

The Mexican squad, under the guidance of Pedro López, defeated Paraguay 4-1, completing a perfect run in this initial phase with a total of 9 points.

Mexico's performance so far has been nothing short of dominant, starting with a dream debut, a 7-0 win against Jamaica, followed by a 3-1 victory against the host nation, Chile.

Although the match started unfavorably with a goal by Rebeca Fernández (9 minutes) for the Paraguayan team, the Mexican players swiftly turned the game around with a resounding victory.

Goals by Scarlett Camberos (37'), Diana Ordoñez (41'), María Sánchez (68'), and Lizbeth Ovalle (70') clearly demonstrated Mexico's dominance.

With this result, Mexico topped Group A, and in the semifinals, they will face the team that finishes in the second position in Group B. This match will take place on Tuesday, October 31.
