Friday, October 27.- In a thrilling match, Argentina defeated Chile 3-1 in male’s field hockey, marking the second game for both teams in Group A.
The match was played in a packed stadium with constant support from the local fans. Chile displayed strong play in the first quarter, keeping the score at zero.
However, in the second quarter, Argentina, the reigning Pan American champions, took the lead with a goal from Maico Casella.
With the lead, the Argentinian team began to dominate the game. Two penalty goals from Tomás Domene secured their victory against "Los Diablos."
Towards the end of the match, Juan Amoroso scored a consolation goal for Chile, concluding the match with a 3-1 scoreline. With this result, Argentina has accumulated six points and secured their spot in the semifinals.
In the final match of Group A, Chile will strive for a spot in the semifinals against Mexico, who also have three points. The match will take place on Sunday, October 29th at 7:30 p.m. local time, following the Argentina vs. Peru game at 5:30 p.m.
