Friday, october 27nd, 2023.- The Brazilian duo of Ana Patricia Silva and Eduarda Santos secured the Pan American gold at Santiago 2023 after defeating the Canadian pair of Melissa Humana Paredes and Brandie Wilkerson in the final.

Brazil, which had earned a bronze medal in the previous Pan American Games with a different pair, now claimed the top spot on the podium thanks to the effectiveness of Silva and Santos, who proved to be the best in the competition on the court.

The first set was the most closely contested, with the Brazilian team winning 22-20. In the second set, the parity continued, but the winners took advantage of a slight lead to win 21-18.

The Canadian team, who received support from a portion of the crowd due to Melissa Humana's Chilean origins, secured the silver medal and the satisfaction of being the second-best female's team at Santiago 2023.
