Brazil shows its credentials, is already in semifinals of male's football

The Brazilian national team showcased its credentials and has secured a spot in the male's football semifinals at Santiago 2023.

Thursday, october 26, 2023.- In a match held at the Sausalito Stadium in Viña del Mar, the team led by Ramon Menezes Hubner defeated Colombia 2-0 in a game valid for Group B.

The opening goal for the Brazilians came from Corinthians midfielder Guilherme Biro at the 16th minute. Meanwhile, the second goal was scored at the 51st minute by Gabriel Pirani from DC United.

Brazil topped the standings in their group and qualified for the top four with six points, leaving Colombia and the United States in second place with three points each. Honduras is in fourth place with no points.

The next match for the Brazilian team will be on Sunday, October 29, when they conclude their group stage participation against Honduras at Sausalito, starting at 1:00 p.m. Meanwhile, the Colombians will be playing for qualification against the United States on the same day, but at 6:00 p.m. in Valparaíso.

In the semifinals, Brazil is awaiting its opponent, which will be determined from the team that secures the second place in Group A. Currently, Chile leads that group with six points, followed by Uruguay with three points, and Mexico and the Dominican Republic with one point each
