United States, the Dominican Republic, Brazil shine in apparatus finals

Canadian Felix Dolci, Dominican Audrys Nin Reyes, and Colombian Luisa Blanco secured qualification for Paris 2024.

Wednesday, October 25, 2023.- The National Stadium's Center for Team Sports experienced another day of medals in artistic gymnastics, with five finals held during Wednesday afternoon. This day also determined spots for the 2024 Paris Olympics.

In the men's pommel horse, Audrys Nin Reyes from the Dominican Republic won the gold medal, followed by Brazilian Arthur Mariano and Canadian Felix Dolci, who, thanks to his top all-around score, earned a direct ticket to Paris 2024.

Dominican Nin Reyes also secured his place in the upcoming Olympic Games by finishing in fifth place, as the top five in this event earned direct qualification to the five-ring event.

The female's balance beam final crowned Brazilian gymnasts Rebeca Andrade and Flavia Saraiva with gold and silver, respectively. The bronze went to Canadian Ava Stewart.

The male's parallel bars competition was won by Curran Phillips from the United States, followed by his compatriot Colt Walker and Mexican Isaac Núñez.

In the female's floor exercises, the gold went to American Kayla Lincoln, while Brazil's Flavia Saraiva took the silver and American Kayla Dicello won the bronze.

Dicello also achieved the highest score in the all-around women's artistic gymnastics.

The top eight from the females's all-around competition secure their place in Paris 2024, allowing Colombian Luisa Blanco, who finished eighth, to ensure her presence at the grand event next year.

The day concluded with the male's horizontal bar final, which saw Brazil's Mariano Arthur crowned as the best. The silver medal went to his compatriot Bernardo Miranda, and the bronze was claimed by Canadian Rene Cournoyer.
