The United States surpassed 100 medals in Santiago 2023

On the fifth day of competition, the North Americans continued to accumulate victories, amassing 51 gold, 28 silver, and 30 bronze medals.

Tuesday, october 24nd, 2023.-  The United States continues to dominate the medal standings at the 2023 Santiago Pan American Games without any rivals. On the fifth day of competition, they surpassed the milestone of 100 total medals, with 109 in total (51 gold, 28 silver, and 30 bronze).

The North Americans have twice as many medals as Mexico, their closest pursuer, who has collected 50 medals so far (22 gold, 13 silver, and 15 bronze).

In terms of Pan American records, the Brazilian swimming relay team in the 4x100 meters freestyle set a new mark by clocking 7 minutes and 7.53 seconds in the pool at the National Stadium Aquatic Center.

Therefore, the medal table continues to be led by the United States with 109 total medals (51 gold, 28 silver, and 30 bronze), followed by Mexico with 50 medals (22 gold, 13 silver, and 15 bronze). In 3rd place is Canada with 58 medals (20 gold, 20 silver, and 18 bronze), 4th is Brazil with 45 medals (10 gold, 16 silver, and 19 bronze), 5th is Colombia with 22 medals (5 gold, 10 silver, and 7 bronze), 6th is Chile with 23 medals (5 gold, 9 silver, and 9 bronze), 7th is Cuba with 9 medals (3 gold, 3 silver, and 3 bronze), 8th is Argentina with 19 medals (2 gold, 9 silver, and 8 bronze), 9th is the Dominican Republic with 8 medals (2 gold, 4 silver, and 2 bronze), and 10th is Venezuela with 8 medals (2 gold, 4 silver, and 2 bronze).
