Summary: The day with most gold medals for Chile

The fifth official day of competition at the Pan American Games Santiago 2023 stood out for being the one that awarded the most gold medals to Team Chile.

Tuesday, october 24nd, 2023.- Rowing was undoubtedly the main protagonist, contributing with three gold medals: one in Women's Coxless Four (Magdalena Nannig, Victoria Hostetter, Melita Abraham, Antonia Abraham), another in Women's Lightweight Double Sculls (Antonia Liewald and Isidora Niemeyer), and a third in Men's Coxless Four (Alfredo Abraham, Ignacio Abraham, Nahuel Reyes, and Marcelo Poo).

This discipline also brought a silver medal for the local team in Men's Lightweight Double Sculls (César Abaroa and Eber Sanhueza) and a bronze in Women's Coxed Eight (Christina Hostetter, Antonia Liewald, Antonia Pichott, Victoria Hostetter, Antonia Abraham, Melita Abraham, Magdalena Nannig, Isidora Niemeyer, and Isis Correa).

Meanwhile, the Chilean taekwondo team achieved an unprecedented silver medal against the powerful Brazil in the team final.

Finally, water skiing also added a bronze with Matías Labra in the Men's Overall, and track cycling did the same with Jacob Decard in the omnium event.
