Artistic Gymnastics crowns best athletes in individual finals per device

Canada, the United States, and Brazil dominated the medals on the second day held at the Centro de Deportes Colectivos of the Estadio Nacional.

Martes 24 de octubre de 2023.- Artistic gymnastics crowned the winners this afternoon in the finals per device, which included floor, still rings, pommel horse, parallel bars, and vault.

In the first rotation, Canadian Felix Dolci won the gold medal with a total of 14.233
points. The silver went to Brazilian Mariano Arthur (13.933), and the bronze to Colombian gymnast Juan Larrahondo (13.366).

In the pommel horse specialty, Brazilian Rebeca Andrade emerged as the winner, totaling 14.983 points. The silver medal went to the American Jordan Chiles, the top favorite for the event, with 14.150 points, while the bronze went to Mexican Natalia Escalera with 13.333 points.

Later, Canada's Zachary Clay won gold in vault. The gymnast secured the gold medal with a total of 14.400 points. He was followed on the podium by his compatriot Jayson Rampersad with 14.333 points, and Puerto Rico's Nelson Alberto Guilbe closed out the podium with 14.133 points.

The female parallel bars crowned Zoe Miller from the United States with gold and Rebeca Andrade and Flavia Saraiva from Brazil with silver and bronze. The athletes scored 14.666, 14.333, and 13.733, respectively.

Finally, in the male rings event, the United States claimed the gold medal thanks to the excellent performance of Donnell Whitemburg, whose routine earned him 14.200 points. The silver went to Argentina's Daniel Villafane with 14.133 points, and Canadian Felix Dolci repeated his medal success, this time with a bronze.
