Tuesday, october 24nd, 2023.- Brazil dashed Chile's hopes of adding another gold medal, as they won the final of the male team taekwondo kyorugi with a score of 48-16.
A packed Combat Sports Center at the National Stadium was eagerly awaiting the Chilean team's performance. However, the Brazilians set the terms right from the first round and secured the victory.
With a convincing score of 27-11 and 21-5, Brazil took home the gold medal, while Chile added its ninth silver medal to its Pan American Games tally. The bronze in the men's event was won by Ecuador.
In the women's team final, the Dominican Republic defeated Mexico 54-44, with Mexico settling for the silver medal. The bronze went to Cuba.
