Tuesday, october 24nd, 2023.- Wakeboarding concluded the water skiing competitions at the Pan American Games Santiago 2023. Argentina, thanks to the outstanding performance of Kai Ditsch, secured the gold medal, repeating the achievement of his compatriot Eugenia de Armas in the same discipline on Monday.

The Argentine athlete had a great performance at the Laguna Los Morros in San Bernardo, accumulating a total of 88.33 points to claim the top spot

The silver medal went to Canadian Hunter Smith (82.67 points), while the bronze medal was obtained by Daniel Johnson from the United States (78.33).

"I knew what I had to do, and I achieved it. Luckily, the judges saw it the same way I did and awarded me the gold. We are strong in wakeboarding, and that's why we won (in both male’s and female's categories). Eugenia (De Armas) and I have known each other for our entire lives, and it's beautiful that we both won," Kai Ditsch concluded.
