Mexican Alejandra Zavala won the 25m pistol with a Pan American record

With this victory, the Mexican athlete has qualified for the Olympics Paris 2024 along with the Ecuadorian Diana Durango, who won the silver medal.

Tuesday, October 24, 2023.- Mexican Alejandra Zavala won the gold medal in the female's 25m pistol on Tuesday and simultaneously set a new Pan American Games record.

The winner at the Polígono de Tiro in Pudahuel achieved a score of 29 shots, breaking the previous best record of 27 shots at the Games Lima 2019, which was set by the Ecuadorian Diana Durango.

The silver medal in Santiago 2023 went to the same Diana Durango, with 28 shots, while the bronze medal was claimed by the American Alexis Lagan, with 24 points.

The first two medalists in the event also qualified for the Olympics Paris 2024.
