Monday, october 23nd, 2023.- The combined Argentine racquetball duo of María José Vargas and Diego García defeated Bolivia (Angélica Barrios and Conrrado Moscoso) 3-2 in the semi-finals in a tight match.

In a noteworthy detail, all four players were originally from Bolivia, as both winning racquetball players have become Argentine citizens. Every point was fiercely contested and celebrated on the court.

Thanks to this victory, Argentina will face the United States (Erika Manilla and Adam Manilla) on Tuesday (at 15:00 local time). The American team defeated Mexico (Paola Longoria and Eduardo Portillo) 3-2 to secure their spot in the final.

"This is incredible; it's a dream to play with my brother, who is also the coach and my mentor," said Erika Manilla. "It's a dream to play and win with him. We're giving our all in the final," commented the American athlete.

Bolivia and Mexico, who couldn't reach the final, secured the bronze medal in Santiago 2023.
