Kayla Dicello wins gold in female all-around

In a closely contested competition, the American gymnast outperformed the Brazilian Flavia Saraiva.

Monday, october 23nd, 2023.- In a closely contested competition, American gymnast Kayla Dicello secured the gold medal in the Women's All-Around, amassing a total of 54.699 points across the vault, uneven bars, balance beam, and floor exercises.


Once again, the Centro de Deportes Colectivos at the Estadio Nacional hosted a flawless event, with an enthusiastic audience that supported the gymnasts and cheered them on regardless of their country.

The battle for the gold medal featured Dicello and Brazilian gymnast Flavia Saraiva as the main contenders. However, the American established the lead in the vault, scoring 14.133 points compared to Saraiva's 13.966.

The bronze medal went to American gymnast Jordan Chiles, who finished in first place during the preliminary qualification round and secured a total of 53.999 points.

Macarena Pinto Adasme, the highest-ranked Chilean gymnast, finished in 15th place with a score of 47.132.

Women's artistic gymnastics offers direct qualification spots for the upcoming 2024 Paris Olympics.
