Mexico reaffirms its dominance in diving

The North American team lived up to their favorites' status by winning the first place in synchronized 10-meter platform diving. Canada took the silver, and Brazil won the bronze.

Monday, october 23nd, 2023.- Mexican divers Gabriela Agundez and Alejandra Orozco secured the gold medal in synchronized 10-meter platform diving, totaling 315.42 points in the pool at the National Stadium Aquatic Center.

The North Americans have fully lived up to their favorites' label because on Sunday, in the individual 10-meter platform event, they were also dominant: Gabriela Agúndez won the gold, and Alejandra Orozco took the silver.

The silver medal in the synchronized 10-meter event was claimed by Canadians Caeli McKay and Kate Miller, who achieved a final score of 310.29.

Brazil, with its duo composed of Ingrid De Oliveira and Giovanna Pedroso, secured the bronze medal with a score of 273.60 points.

The diving competition for Monday concludes with the men's 3-meter springboard event.
