Monday, october 23nd, 2023.- Amid a festive atmosphere and with a supportive audience throughout, the All Around final crowned Canadian Felix Dolci with the gold medal, who achieved a total of 82.531 points in the combined performance of floor, pommel horse, rings, parallel bars, horizontal bar, and vault.
From the beginning, the Canadian gymnast emerged as the favorite to secure the top prize and engaged in a close battle with the Brazilian Diogo Soares, who claimed the silver medal with a total of 81.865 points. The bronze medal went to the American Donnell Whittenburg, with 81.764 points.
Overall, the athletes showed improvement as the competition progressed. In fact, Dolci did not have a strong start on the floor exercise, but as he gained confidence, his performance culminated in winning the gold medal.
It's worth noting that Team Chile's representative, Joel Álvarez, finished in sixth place with 78.930 points, while Luciano Letelier finished further down in 20th place with a total of 73.165 points.
Starting at 6:00 p.m. this Monday, the final round of the Women's All Around competition will take place, featuring the participation of Jordan Chiles, who won a silver medal in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics in the team event.
