BREAKING NEWS: Emile Ritter Secures the Second Gold for Chile in Water Ski

The specialist secured the gold medal in the male´s jump after narrowly defeating Dorien Llewellyn from Canada.

Monday, October 23rd.- Chile clinched its second gold medal at the 2023 Pan American Games in Santiago, thanks to Emile Ritter's performance in water skiing. 

The 32-year-old civil engineer by profession narrowly defeated Canada's representative, Dorien Llewellyn, in an intense showdown. 

Ritter, a member of Team Chile and a ski schoolteacher from the Miranda family, a well-known clan associated with water skiing in Chile, triumphed with a jump of 64.7 meters compared to the North American's 64.5 meters. 

The bronze medal went to Argentina's Tobías Giorgis, who secured third place on the podium with a jump of 63.3 meters. 

Chile has now accumulated a total of 11 medals at these Pan American Games, and this is the second gold medal earned by the host nation.
